However as this research and every piece of research shows, socially driven video online is huge and growing faster than anything we've seen before. I agree with you on early video, but the mass market impact was limited and its not until YouTube etc arrived that video online took off.

Longer term it will clearly undermine the traditional TV model and it is starting to already. Give it 10 years, its not unlikely that the majority of video/TV content will be delivered online and on-demand. Viewing trends will be dictated by users, not networks. The research backs this up.

If you would like to read the full report and see the complete research you can download it from the website: http://www.trendstream.net/wp-content/uploads/200...

Re: Online Video Fastest Growing Media Ever?

Sometimes, a blinding flash of the obvious is needed to get some of these old-school brands and marketers to start engaging in online video initiatives. There are still plenty of companies, and even agencies wandering around in the dark when it comes to new media. So if it takes a report like that to get them moving, I guess it's a good thing for all of us.

Re: Online Video Fastest Growing Media Ever?

Gee it seems Comic Book guy-itis is more contagious than swine flu ;)

Re: Online Video Fastest Growing Media Ever?

Cant stop laughing....
