A VA of mine once created a bunch of videos using Animoto because he was bored. They looked nice and, they were unique but they just didn't work.

On the other hand, I don't agree that you have to have a degree and a the best studio to produce good quality videos these days. I appreciate this post is 2 years old, but one of my clients still have 5 listings on Google for their keyword term and they used a flip camera and shot the video in their living room. Unique content, yes, but used properly with voiceover, a story and text using PowerPoint or Keynote, you can create some very effective advertising that can be much more effective than live video.

I shy away from following television ads because most of them just don't work. Sorry, big corporates use them because everyone else does and whilst Coco Cola might get away with it, the man on the high street could spend a fortune and never make a dime.

Re: Stock Image Slide Shows Are NOT Video SEO!

Steve,

Grant is correct across the board! People like him and I know what REAL VSEO is! In order for it to be effective, it needs to be worthy to talk about, share, watch and remember.

I have been involved with video search marketing for over 2 years. It annoys me when people try to jump in an industry for a quick buck.

Steve….Do you see slideshows on television?

Not much I bet!

Internet video marketing and advertising should never be devalued. Internet video is more effective than television advertising. You are giving the prospect a marketing impression when they are seeking it.

My organization produces original content.....WITH A CAMERA.....WITH LIGHTS..... My team members have degrees and utilize their education and experience to produce captivating video content. Each project is different and requires our creative team to develop different scripts that will motivate the audience to do something…… call, click or visit.

With cheap stock video…you run the risk of hurting your client’s image and integrity. Today’s market is smarter than you think and will notice things like…. 2 or 3 different organizations with the same video content, but different business names.

I would recommend that you at least make each slideshow original.

Re: Stock Image Slide Shows Are NOT Video SEO!

Mark....what's going on? For the nominal client investment of $195 we're confident that our basic video marketing service represents value for money.

Across multiple video sharing sites, each video generates 20 - 50 views a month. And with a new patient worth $800 - $1200 our clients don't need to generate too many new patients for this initiative to earn its keep!

However Grant, you make some valid and interesting points about viral SEO marketing.

Thanks for reviewing our service and sharing your point of view.

Steve
