ReelSEO Video Marketing: Youtube Embed Tip – Remove Embedded Player Search

  • Matthew Loop · 1 year ago
I've been on the look-out for this code, Mark. Thanks for your help. Out of the blue on a few of my sales-pages, the search tool popped up and I was definitely surprised.

Would you happen to know if there's a code that allows the video on YouTube not to show other videos after yours is finished playing? I've been using Viddler to host a great deal of sales-page content now because it only shows my video, no more.

    Thanks again :)

Hey Matthew... just add the &rel=0 parameter, and that will do the trick... ;)

OK, Navidad (Felice) I need full example of the code to add to youtube - where does this go? and what is the effect?

Do you know how to take the search box and suggested videos off of the Youtube video when using the insert function on Google apps for Education? Our school would like to use the feature, but some of the videos are inappropriate for children. You load them up via the Youtube URL and I don't see the same kind of code.

    thanks

Unfortunately, Im not familiar with the feature. I would post a question in the Google Apps forum. Would be interested in what you find out. if you hard-code the videos, Im sure you can do it, but not sure how you would change it using the insert function. Wish I could see an example...

    Hi,
I will check with the Apps Forum. I don't know what hard-code is, but I tried making a custom video out of the one I wanted in Youtube, but that only generates HTML code that you can't put in Google Apps Sites. You have to load a URL. Is there a way to do something with that HTML to generate a URL?

I dont think so and I honestly am not sure as I dont have access to this inGoogleapps (only premium subscriptions or for education). However, I think that you definitely should post something in the forums because this seems like a very big oversight on the part of Google in my eyes. They need to fix it for you ASAP...

I use a service called SleengPro.com which is very inexpensive and it allows me to brand the player with my own transparent logo. I can also upload any size or length video without having to worry about cutting it into 10 minute increments. The best part is that I don't have to ever worry about loosing control of what's playing on my site or loosing my traffic to YouTube where my customers can see competitor videos. Check it out for $9.95 per month and no setup or long term contracts. www.sleengpro.com

Just found out how to get the related videos to stop showing at the completion of my embedded video. In your youtube account, right next to the "embed" code for your video is a little blue "cog"...just click it and uncheck the "show related videos" box.

Don't you just hate it when it's sooo simple? ;)
